On a cool summer evening as you stroll along the waterfront, what could be better than a lacy shawl that doubles as a vest?

Essentially a long shawl with armholes, this versatile piece can be easily adapted to any size. Make it longer or shorter. Add pattern repeats to make a wider piece. Arrange the pattern stitches in any way you like and add as many colours as you want, too.

When finished, you can wear this shawl/vest with the Side Border along the bottom or turn it around and wear it with the Side Border at the neckline to form a generous shawl collar.

The sample pictured is knit with a variety of Handmaiden Fine Yarn yarns (Great Big Sea, Double Sea Silk, and Swiss Mountain Silk Cotton), size pictured is Medium/Large.
