Water and sunshine, both call forth the warmth and allure of summer!
The Water Music shawl is worked primarily in a combination of linen and silk yarns, all summer-weight yarns, and makes for the perfect warm weather garment.
There are four weekly clues with the first clue going out on Monday, 06 July 2020.
What you will need to begin:
- 4.5 mm. (US 7) and 5.0 mm. (US 8) needles as well as a pair of 3.75 mm. (US 5) double-pointed needles
- Stitch markers
- A variety of yarns in different colourways. Choose a selection of yarns of the same weight. Sport weight or double knitting yarns are recommended, although lighter weight yarns can also be used. The finished piece uses approximately 625 m./685 yds. of different yarns with an average weight of 250 m./273 yds. per 100g.
Create a palette of at least 4-7 colours to begin. You can always add in more colours as you work. This project is excellent for using up scrap yarn. The more colours the better!
I am also offering a yarn pack with Hand Maiden Flaxen (65% silk, 35% linen, 250 m./273 yds. per 100 g. skein) in four coordinating colours.
