Norway Scarf for January
I am launching the International Year of the Scarf with the pattern for January: Norway.
This scarf is actually a long tube, knit in the round using two colours, and worked in the Fair Isle technique. It allows for many different variations, both in the design itself and in how it is worn.
Wrap it around your neck an extra time and you have a cosy neck warmer.
Wrap it around your head and it's a winter turban.
Work the design in different colours. Or work the different sections to different proportions. Choose to work only stripes, or only dots, or only dashes. Or mix them up to your own taste.
Essentially the pattern is a template for your own imagination and creativity.
