Painting Easter Eggs

One of the Easter traditions that we have held on to over the years has been the painting of Easter eggs. This year was no exception.
Today was the most beautiful spring day yet this season. Warm enough to take our painting supplies outside and set up our makeshift studio.

We use food colouring, mixed with a little corn starch, to paint designs on each of the hard-boiled eggs.

There are no rules. We each follow our own desires for colour, pattern, and design. The best part is the conversation, the joking, laughter, and general fun. And before we know it, we have a platter full of painted eggs.

Ready to be cracked open and eaten tomorrow...
Happy Spring!
