Launching the International Year of the Scarf
I have decided to launch a knitting club: The International Year of the Scarf.
With all new designs for 2010!
The scarf continues to be an intriguing template for all kinds of design approaches. And I have been having so much fun developing ideas for this knitting club. Some of the designs are ready to go. Some are currently on the needles. And some are still just flickers in the imagination.
Membership in the International Year of the Scarf knitting club includes one scarf pattern per month, sent as a PDF to your e-mail address during the first week of each month. Each scarf is named after a country and reflects in some way the spirit of the place. By the end of the year, you will have travelled the globe in knitting.
There will also be one surprise free pattern, sent to you sometime during 2010.
As a member of the International Year of the Scarf, you will receive your scarf pattern within the first week of each month, well before it is posted on my website. Once it is posted, it will be available for sale at the regular retail price. The first pattern goes out in January 2010.
We're also not just talking scarves here. Some will be sized for full-sized shawls, too. And some will also work as cowls and neck wraps of all kinds.
These patterns are Web Exclusive to my website. They will not be sold anywhere else.
Annual membership is $75.00 CAD. But if you sign up before 04 January 2010, the price is $60.00!

There will be online pattern support, technical instruction, knitter's tips, and knitalongs. So we'll be able to share our pictures and our experiences in travelling the world of knitting.
