Sometimes I Just Want to Knit
Some days I just want to knit.
No planning, no designing, no swatching, no mathematical calculations, no decisions on finishing, no expectations of the finished product.
Some days I just want to pick up a ball of yarn, one that calls out from the stash, choose some needles, and sit down to knit.
This time the yarn is Zitron's "Life Style" (100% extrafine merino). A self-striping sock yarn in a subtle, elegant variation of colours. Enough strong contrasts to show up the stitch pattern, yet enough gradual changes within the blues as well. Enough to keep me interested once the stitch pattern (a version of the Feather and Fan stitch pattern) has become well-established in my hands.
A simple scarf--I think that's what it'll be, but who knows?
