Beach Knitting

One of my favourite things to do is to take my knitting to the beach.
Vacation knitting can be the best ever, when you can combine several pleasures together. It's best, though, to take along projects that either:
Have an easy to memorize stitch pattern, like Ancient Bark:

Are small enough to be easily portable, like Diamonds on the Diagonal and On the Town:

Make the most of a special yarn, like the handpainted Celestial Merino, in Brickwork:

Will end up being a special treat for yourself, such as Tidal Streams:

Or as a gift for someone else, like the Along the Boulevard scarves:
And if they also reflect the environment, like the Waves of Lace scarf, then one's delight is complete.
