Kauni Kits Now Available
Yarn kits to knit four of my designs in Kauni Effekt yarn are now available.
When I had first been introduced to this exciting European yarn of 100% Shetland-style wool, with its extra-long colour repeats, I immediately wanted to see how it would look worked in some of my most popular designs. I chose four of them, and was thrilled with the result.
Earth Maiden (at left below) is knit with Kauni Effekt's signature colourway EQ, "Spectrum". The Lady of the Forest (at right below) is knit with Kauni Effekt EH, "Earth and Sky".
Each one took to the yarn, no matter the needle size. Each worked to the recommended gauge. No adjustments to the patterns were needed.
The Lake of the Woods takes on a delicate, vintage look with Kauni's EN, "Queen Anne's Lace". The Queen of the Waves (at right below) reflects the changing hues of the sea with Kauni Effekt EZ, "Ocean":
The yardage in the Kauni yarn is so generous that each version of these designs takes only about 2 balls.
The yarn kits include yarn for the project plus the pattern. If you already have the pattern, all you need is the yarn and you can order that directly from the Kauni yarn page.
