LynAdell of New Zealand
Every once in a while a knitwear designer comes along with such originality and style that you just have to sit up and notice.
Lynette Harvey of LynAdell is one such designer. Based in New Zealand, this talented artist creates garments of stunning beauty.
Her designs are not only exquisite in their concept and detailing; they are completely wearable.
Full of flair and romance and, at the same time, practical. Her models wear her elegant creations with jeans, although they could just as easily be paired with evening wear.
This is fashion. Not trendy, here-today-gone-tomorrow fashion. But timeless pieces that will look beautiful for years to come. Like a Chanel jacket or an Yves St-Laurent evening gown.
Just look at how she uses varying stitch patterns within an entrelac structure to create a one-of-a-kind sweater.
Her work is like knitted sculpture.
So where can you get her patterns? Well, you can't. LynAdell works as a knitwear designer, selling her work as finished pieces. You can place an order with her. You just can't knit these garments yourself. Yet.
However I understand that a book is in the offing. And I'll be first in line to buy a copy once it is in print...
