Cat’s Pajamas by Lucy Neatby

You may have noticed that I am now offering a new yarn through my website: Cat's Pajamas by Lucy Neatby.

This luscious yarn is 80% merino, 10% cashmere and 10% nylon and is absolutely delicious. It is a 3-ply fingering weight, originally brought in by Lucy Neatby for making luxurious socks. Which, of course, it does. But with its cashmere and merino content, this yarn is soft to the touch, without being a slouch. And with its slight loft, I find I can achieve a looser gauge with it than with typical sock yarns.

I wanted to use it in something which would be near my face, to feel its cuddliness. So I designed "On the Town" cowl for the City Collection. This decorative neck-and-shoulders piece takes only one skein of Cat's Pajamas--and would look great in any of the colourways.

Cat's Pajamas takes the dye easily, so the colours remain bright and brilliant. In addition to the Fiery Fuchsia colourway shown above, I currently carry two other colourways: Blue Vesuvius and Sugar Maple.

But I can supply any of the other colourways that Lucy has, if you request it.

Other designs of mine that would work well with Cat's Pajamas are Brickwork, Diamonds on the Diagonal, and Tidal Streams.

It's a gift to oneself to knit with such a gorgeous yarn...
