Getting Ready for the Frolic

This is what I've been up to this week--getting ready for the Knitters' Frolic. In Toronto at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre on Saturday, 25 April.
Packing up the yarn and the patterns. Deciding which samples to bring and how I'll display them. (This is the most fun part.)
This year I'll have the new yarn I am carrying, Kauni Effekt :

As well as the designs which use them:

Earth Maiden and Lady of the Forest (in the brighter colourways)

Lake of the Woods and Queen of the Waves (in the more subdued colourways).
I'll also have shawl pins and stitch markers form the Maritime Bauble Company. Delightfully beaded with unique stones and a special one with a piece of lava rock.
For a new treat, I'll be bringing along a selection of pewter jewellery from Nova Scotia designer, Adrienne Thomas of Perl Grey. There will be shawl pins and brooches. Some of which I have previously featured on my designs.

Adrienne also has the most striking knitting designs in a wide range of Fleece Artist and Handmaiden yarns. Take a look at her website for her knitting patterns and kits.
So it's off to pack some more and then to the post office to ship everything.
Let me know if there is anything special you'd like me to bring. There will still be room in my suitcase, too.
